RWBY:

RWBY (pronounced ruby) is a web series made by an American company Rooster Teeth that can be watched in its entirety on youtube and is arguably one of my if not my favourite show. There can be any number of reasons for this. Comedy, action, a tone shift that I would have never seen coming. But RWBY and its fictional world of Remnant has any number of questionable physics involved in its rule of cool powered magic, for lack of a better word. What is notable is that there are things on Remnant that as people on earth we would consider magical in nature which people on Remnant doesn’t consider magical and instead another facet of science to be explored. The two topics below may end up growing but for starters will begin with a study into Dust, one of the topics which we’d call magical which people on Remnant wouldn’t and a study into Remnant’s moon as a topic slightly easier to deal with in our universes physics.

Hololive:

Owned by Cover Corp a Japanese company that creates “virtual Idols”. Individuals who are Idols but interact with the world via a digital avatar (giving them far more privacy than many other Idols as their “real” identities aren’t discussed). While originally Japanese only they have diversified into Indonesian and English, as for the virtual avatars themselves they range from ordinary highschool aged girls to extra-terrestrial entities (aliens, the moon, a comet) to various animals (not-a-duck duck, shark, cat, dog, bear-seal etc) to fantasy creatures (elves, androids, demon, angel, etc) to complex metaphysical concepts (death, time) to eldritch horrors and Haachama. Most of the time they livestream on youtube, singing, playing video games. So on and so forth. Then every so often there are animated episodes based on the hololive members which prompt some further queries. Such as a “normal” girl tossing a full sized dragon such that it breaks the sound barrier (which other people mathed out).
