Colloquially referred to as wishes (singular wish) dryad’s wishes are one of the few highly desired products to come out of the Land’s of the Cold. Appearing as if a bunch of grapes were shrunk down to the size of a large strawberry. The “stem” of these grapes made out of the same edible flesh as the grapes themselves. Not that eating them is recommended. The dryad’s wish is while whilst growing and light blue when ripe. If not picked they have been known to turn yellow and effectively rot in the space of a few hours but once picked will remain at whatever stage of growth they were at at that time. Regardless of techniques used to reverse or continue this process. Magical or otherwise. The Dryad’s wish is a fruit which is somehow greater than 100% pure alcohol. If an alcoholic is measured in wishes it is exceptionally strong. Regardless of how small the number is. 0.00001 wishes is approximately the equivalent to a small glass of standard beer. As can probably be guessed from this a single wish is incredibly expensive due to the sheer amount of alcohol they represent.

Normal use:

The small size of a wish coupled with the ease of storing them and their high desirability makes wishes practically a currency in and of their own rite. With a few unique exceptions wishes are among the most expensive objects by volume. Some individuals like to store capital in this manner. Some less than legitimate trades use wishes for a similar reasons.  Despite the extensive connections to black market use there are a few legitimate business which use them. Specialist breweries which measure drinks in wishes are rare, it being much more common for a business to buy a single wish and use it for drinks over several months.

Relic examples:

Dryad wish relic’s don’t exist in a typical sense. Although it is a mistake to say that dryad’s wishes have never seen more violent uses. The sheer amount of alcohol in a wish makes them highly toxic to basically everyone. Ironically those famed for their resilience tend to survive eating a wish and hence wishes can be used to identify a very small number of very famous people. There are far more effective ways of using wishes in than as poison. Cutting up a wish and using it to intoxify the air to such an extent that it can make many will get drunk of the air itself tends to be an effective gas attack. Using them as fuel for fire based weapons is also a common occurrence although with strict regulation. Igniting a wish directly being understandably explosive in nature.
